Driveways · Busselton to Augusta

New driveways, resheets and repairs. Driveways that drain.

Gravel, crushed limestone or blue metal, built on a proper base with a crown and drains so it handles a South West winter. John comes out, walks it with you and gives you a written price.

How it's built

What's under the gravel.

A driveway is only as good as what's underneath it. Here's what goes into every one John builds.

A cut through a finished driveway: cleared and levelled ground at the bottom, a compacted crushed limestone base, the finished surface on top with a crown in the middle, and a table drain on each side. Arrows show rain running off the crown into the drains. 1 2 3 4 5
  1. Cleared and levelledScrub and topsoil come off, and the ground underneath is levelled with tracked machines.
  2. A compacted baseCrushed limestone, rolled down hard. This is what carries the weight.
  3. A crown down the middleThe surface is shaped with fall to each side, so rain runs off it instead of sitting in it.
  4. Drains each sideTable drains and culverts where the block needs them, to carry the water away.
  5. Your finish on topGravel, crushed limestone or blue metal.
